Cut two straps out of single fold bias tape the length of the shoulder strap measurement explained on the baby doll dress/top page and add 1". 

Fold in half wrong sides together lengthwise. 

Press.

Stitch down middle with matching thread. (I'm using contrasting to illustrate point better.)

Stop sewing 1/2" from end.  Lock stitch.

Fold over 1/2" to right side of strap.

Pin folded under side (right side) to wrong side of garment where shoulder straps should go. 

Sew securely in place making sure strap is at a 90 degree angle to the top garment
